A prayer to see beyond

Image
Oh, Lord, Help me to see beyond today. Would you give me a taste of glory? Would you let me see what you're doing in the spiritual realm? Would you show me your perspective? Give me your heart, your mind, your will. Change me first, then use me however you want. Use my talents, my failings, my family, for your purposes, and help me to trust you with the results. Your plans are bigger than I can see. May I see you first and foremost and then help me to see beyond today and serve your purpose  and do your will . In Jesus' name,  Amen.   While I, Daniel, was watching the vision and trying to understand it, there before me stood one who looked like a man.   And I heard a man’s voice from the Ulai calling, “Gabriel, tell this man the meaning of the vision.” A s he came near the place where I was standing, I was terrified and fell prostrate.   “Son of man,”  he said to me, “understand that the vision concerns the time of the end.”...

Broaden my path

Image
Lord God, I feel hemmed in right now, Physically, emotionally, intellectually, spiritually. In a woods, looking for a clear way out. The world is overwhelming, isn't it? I feel exhausted from the hectic pace of running a new schedule while trying to maintain the old one. I feel the Holy Spirit prompting me to open my heart to bigger faith--to hope and dream for your will to be done in ways I can't even imagine. But you are not worried about how I will process all this or if I will fail. You will broaden my path, if I keep walking in your light. You will enlarge my territories, if I push out into a dangerous world. You will strengthen me and do the impossible through me. I will not stumble . I will not fall . I will not fail, if I keep following you. ...

Prayer over a child's opportunity

Image
Dear Lord God and Holy Spirit, My child has an opportunity today-- one of those many milestones we parents feel are so important. And they are, for succeeding in this world's system and for maturing into an adult. I give him once again into your hands. You have his future in mind. You created him for this moment and for the million moments before and after today. You know how each part fits together. Thank you for the thousand times you protected him, the thousand times you comforted, encouraged, convicted. May he feel your presence around him and before him today. Give him courage to be honest about himself. Give him confidence to see what you're already doing in him and for him. Give him wisdom beyond his years. Give him optimism and boldness-- enough to propel him toward your will and enough to steer him through the trials that will come. You crafted him. You called him You saved him. And you gave him to me for a little while. Thank you for th...
