A Valentine's Day prayer about love

Image
Dear Lord, Nobody deserves your love. Not me. Not anybody else. Your love surpasses all comprehension . So who am I to pick and choose who I'm kind to? Whom to include? Whom to protect and cherish? Whom to elevate and encourage? Everyone is loved by God as much as I am, no matter how good or bad they are, no matter what they've done or what they know. Loved completely because Jesus died for them, even in their sin, just like he died for me in my sin. Lord, I want to show love without reservation or judgment. Convict me, forgive me, release me to the world to reflect your love. Thank you ! You are amazing. In Jesus' powerful name, Amen. “A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” ( John 13:34-35 )

Love never dies. Inspired speech will be over some day; praying in tongues will end; understanding will reach its limit. We know only a portion of the truth, and what we say about God is always incomplete. But when the Complete arrives, our incompletes will be canceled. But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust ste...
