Lord of heaven and earth, We love you.  Thank you for your unparalleled grace on us as a nation  by giving us the freedom to pursue you and your calling to serve and worship you.  We enjoy the blessings of abundance and opportunity  because servicemen and women and their families  have sacrificed comfort, protection and their lives to provide us with freedom.  Lord, pour out your comfort and blessing on our armed forces and their families.  Stave off the loneliness.  Protect them from dangers, within and without.  Fill them with your mission and purpose.  May the Holy Spirit fill our bases, our ships, and our aircraft.  Bring revival and comfort to these who give and suffer loss.  Thank you for your provision for us who enjoy America.  May we take advantage of all that you have supplied for us. Thank you , Lord. You are so good. All the time, in every situation, you have our best at heart. Your love motivates you to move mountains and change cultures so that more people can search you and find you. Thank you for your protection from this virus . Thank you for our homes, schools, friends, church, and virtual possibilities that much of the world can't access. Thank you for healthcare professionals and modern medicine. We are so fortunate. Lord God, You are the God who Heals. You can stop this virus whenever you want. Lord, I don't want to interfere in your larger plan but could you slow down the path of this virus? Would you please in your mercy, protect the old from getting sick? Would you guard the children as they try to do school? Would you give parents grace, patience, and safety from getting sick? Lord, give the medical personnel strength to resist the illness, patience to tend to the sick, and time to recover ? Make this virus die out quickly. Reduce its reach. Let all those who know you rejoice and praise your name. Convict Christians who are being rude, selfish, bigoted, or judgmental to close their mouths and repent before you. Dear Lord Jesus, You hear the hammering of my heart, the ache of letting a child go out into the world, although it terrifies me. Your mother must have felt that way every day. Today I'm releasing my child a little bit more, and it hurts deeply-- not because I don't want him to go (although there's a teeny piece of that)-- but because I don't want him to be hurt. I ask You--I beg You--put a hedge of protection around my child. Send Your angels to encircle him, to fight for him, to protect him against the forces of this world that seek his harm.
